"il dit au déclarant avoir parlé aux négres du dit Sieur Goudeau, nommés Antoine, Lucas et Hector, et qu'ils étaient convenu de cela que les négres [dénommés] au dessus au Sr Goudeau avait dit à Joseph Mina qu'ils [commençerant] pour tuer leur maître et qu'ils viendront les [trouver] [a leur SIC], et que le déclarant ayant appellé le nommé Louis Bordelon il lui dit d'aller trouver les négres de Mr. Goudeau et leur dire qu'il n'en faire rien, jusqu'a ce qui lui [fasser] avertir, et que l'après midi étant a travailler, dans le [sic] a circles des mays que le déclarant a profité de ce moment où [sur le] Sainte [Croix] avait appellé [l'éconnome], que le dit déclarant avait dit alors aux négres qu'ils [vallait] beaucoup mieux [sic] cela"
Translation
"he said to the declarant having spoken to the negros of the said Sr. Goudeau, named Antoine, Lucas, and Hector, and that they were agreed about it that the negros named above of Sr. Goudeau having said to Joseph Mina that they will start to kill their master and that they come [to be found] [sic], and that the declarant had called the man called Louis Bordelon he told him to go find the negros of Mr. Goudeau and tell them to do nothing, until [sic] [to warn them], and that afternoon to be working, in the [sic] of circles of corn that the declarant took advantage of this moment where [by the Holy Cross] he had called [the steward?], that the said declarant had then said to the negros that they needed much better [sic]"
