Intérogé s'il n'a plus rien à dire il a dit que Oui, et pour [confondre] Joseph Mina, le répondant lui avait demandé comment il pourrait attaquer les patrouilles sans armes puisque lui même [lui] avaient partié au fort a quoi le dit Joseph Mina (Mima) lui avait répondu [l'à sic]"
Translation
"affair and as such some free people of color, or who had said some things about the freedom of slaves he replied that Antoine Sarrasin had told him that there were some whites at False River who read some [illegible writing or nonsense] to the negros of the said district, and that it concerned the revolutions of France and [Cap-Français] and everywhere he replies.

Asked if he had anything more to say he said yes, and to mislead Joseph Mina, the respondant had asked him how he could attack the patrols without weapons because he himself had left for the fort to which the said Joseph Mina had replied to him [sic]"
