"commandeur esclave du Sr Poédras qu'il croyait bien que le commandant allait envoyer son [parrier?] nommé Antoine Sarrasin Mulatre l'esclave à la dite habitation, en ville, alors le dit Jean Baptiste lui ordonna d'aller dans les camps du Sr Goudeau demander aux négres de cette habitation s'ils voulaient se joindre à eux pour attaquer les patrouilles, et tuer les blancs à quoi les négres Hector, Lucas, & Antoine, ne lui ont rien répondu, lui demandant seulement [l'heure] [& [disant] ["hà hà"] ce que a fait croire au déclarant qu'ils y consentaient, il ajoute seulement que le projet de Jean Baptiste commandeur, [G] Francois, Jean Louis, [Charls?] Mathieu"
Translation
"commander [overseer?] slave of Sr Poédras, that he well believes that the commdant had send his [messenger?] the man named Antoine Sarrasin mulatto slave of the said plantation, in the city, so the said Jean Baptiste ordered him to go into the camps of Sr Goudeau to ask the negros of this place if they would like to join with them to attack the patrols and kill the whites to which the negros Hector, Lucas, and Antoine, replied nothing to him, asked him only [the time] and [said "ha ha"], which led the declarant to believe that they consented to it, he adds only that the project of Jean Baptiste commander, [G] Francois, Jean Louis, [sic] Mathieu"
