"Poédras, il s'arrete a la cabane de Sarrasin, dans la qu'elle il s'était trouvé [hois] blancs provenceaux engagé dans la pirogue, de Marcos [Riche], le dit Sarrasin, l'Eveillé, Noel au Sr Poedras, Baptiste Forgeron Veuve Lacour, [Ami] Veuve Barron & le nommé [G] [Rokamborg], et qu'ayant entendu parler dans la cabane du dit Sarrasin, il s'approcha et il entendit dire en s'approchant l'Eveille dire pieux, et entendit dire a un des [hois blancs] engagé du Sieur Marcos = vous êtes trop [belles or bettes] pourquoi faire des requêtes, il ne vaudrait pas mieux faire comme les négres du cap, et dans le moment"
Translation
"Poedras, he stopped at the cabin of Sarrasin, in which he found [SIC whites of the province] enlisted in the canoe of Marcos [Riche], the said Sarrasin, l'Eveillé, Noel of Sr. Poedras, Baptiste Forgeron of Widow Lacour, Ami of Widow Barron and the man called George [Rokamborg], and that having heard talk in the cabin of the said Sarrasin, he approached, and he heard said while approaching L'Eveille [make a promise? oath?], and heard said to one of the [Hois] whites enlisted by Sr. Marcos= you are too [sic] to make the requests, would it not be better to do it like the negros of the Cap, and in the moment"
