Consécutivement avons fait comparraître le nommé Magliore esclave a Veuve Lacour cité par Jean Baptiste Forgeron et après lui avoir fait faire son serment par Dieu et la Sainte Croix de dire la verité au sujet de la dite cite et qu'on lui a lue il a dit que la cite est fausse n'ayant jamais entendu parler de cela à personne
N'ayant plus rien a dire et entendu lire sa déclaration il a dit être la pure vérité qu'il est agé d'environ vingt six ans ne sachant signer l'avons fait avec l'assesseur et les témoins d'assistance de tout quoi donnons foi. Signé Duparc Vahamonde G Serrano JB Beauvais J Jarreau P Hubert"

Next we have made appear the man called Magliore slave to the Widow Lacour named by Jean Baptiste Forgeron and after having made him make his oath to God and the Holy Cross to say the truth about the aforementioned statements and that which was read to him he said that the statement is false having never heard talk of this from anyone.
Having nothing more to say and having heard his declaration read he said it to be the pure truth, that he is around twenty six years old, and not knowing how to sign we have done it with the assessor and the attending witnesses of all which we give authority.
