Consécutivement avons fait comparraître le nommé L'Eveillé esclave du Sr. Poédras cité par les nommés François mulatre au Sieur Goudeau, Louis au même maître, Joseph Mina, & Louis Bordelon au Sieur Poédras & après avoir fait son serment par Dieu & la Ste Croix de dire la vérité sur la dite cite & sur ce qu'on lui demandera il a dit que
La premier cite était vrai parce que Jean Baptiste Commandeur au même maître & les autres chefs nommés Jean Baptiste mulatre, Noel négre, Grand Charles, [sic] Antoine Sarrasin mulatre et Coffi négre au Sr Poédras un"

Next we have made appear the man called L'Eveillé slave of Sr. Poedras mentioned by the men called Francois mulatto of Sr Goudeau, Louis of the same master, Joseph Mina, and Louis Bordelon of Sr Poédras, and after having made his oath to God and the Hold Cross to tell the truth about the aforementioned and about that which we may ask him he has said that:
