"Intérogé sur la cite de Louis esclave du Sr Goudeau que lui a été [lue], il a dit qu'elle était vraie, et l'affaire des femmes et des sauvages était vraie mais qu'il ne l'avait dit que d'apres Grand Charles esclave du Sr Poédras, et il ajoute que le dit Grand Charles lui avait dit qu'il tuerait le Sr Duffeif qui était [dessendu] en ville quand cela devrait être en route et il ajoute lui déclarant, que disant au négre Jean Baptiste Commandeur & Grand François qu'il [voyait] beaucoup de difficultés, a quoi eux repondaient que cela était une petite affaire et que cela seront l'affaire d'un moment pour détruire tous les blancs de plus"
Translation
"Asked about the statement from Louis slave of Sr Goudeau which was read out to him, he said that it was true, and the affair of the women and the Indians was true but that he had said that following Grand Charles slave of Sr Poedras, and he adds that the said Grand Charles had told him that he would kill the Sr. Duffeif who had gone down to the city when he should be on the way, and he adds that, he declarant, saying to the negro Jean Baptiste commander and Grand Francois that he saw many difficulties, to which they replied that it was a small matter and that it will be the work of a moment to destroy all the whites also"
