"prendraient [sic] la magasin du Sr Poédras son maître, du [sic] & autres marchandises, pour aller [traiter] avec les sauvages, et eu faire leurs aussi, pour les defendres contre les blancs que voulaient tous détruirer, a l'exception des femmes qu'ils voulaient garder pour s'est faire [servir], qu'ils étaient tous seule quand le dit l'Eveillé leur a parlé de cela il ajoute aussi que l'Eveillé & Guillaume lui avait dit que les négres des habitations du Sr. Poedras & [Veuve] Lacour, n'avaient point fait [de mays] cette année comptant être [toutes libres] l'année prochaine et ajoute qu'il lui avait dit qu'il devait mettre le feu à [l'apparte du fous] de son maître pour attirer"
Translation
"would take [sic] the storeroom of Sr. Poedras his master, some [sic] and other goods, to go trade with the Indians, and also make theirs, for defending themsevles against the whites who they wanted to completely destroy, with the exception of the women who they wanted to keep to be their servants, that they were all alone when the said l'Eveillé had talked to them about this he adds also that l'Eveillé and Guillaume had told him that the negros of the plantations of Sr. Poedras and [widow] Lacour, had not made [sic (grown corn?)] this year, counting on being completely free next year and adds that he had told him that he would put light a fire at the [quarters?] of his master to lure"
