Intérogé si quelques autres négres ne lui avait pas parlé du complot, il a répondu que Oui, que venait de pécher de l'autre bord du fleuve, un jour de la semaine sainte [sic] il trouva en arrivant dans sa cabane le nommé L'Eveillé, esclave du Sr. Poédras qui lui dit qu'il allait chercher sa [jument] pour ramasser ce [qu'on lui devait] parce qu'on devait bientôt frapper sur les blancs ce qu'il avait bien compté, sachant qu'il y avait [trouvé] négres pour un blanc, et il a dit qu'apres avoir fait le coup ils"

"of the said lady that the negros called [Mina], François and Jean [Louis] slaves of Barron were all gallant men without a doubt, and that the negros of Mr. Lacour were nothing more than some women, he replied.
Asked if some other negros had not spoken about the conspiracy, he replied that yes, that coming from fishing on the other side of the river, one day of Easter week [sic] he found arriving at his cabin the man called L'Eveillé, slave of Sr. Poédras, who told him that he was going to find his [mare] to gather what [we need] because we should soon attack the whites that had been well counted, knowing that there were thirteen negros for one white, and he said that after having done it they"
