days before these events the declarant had heard
from his father that many
Blacks wanted to run Away,
which is why he told his,

but that however if they
wanted to, they could well do it, to which
all answered that they did not want to
run away, nor did they have a motive for such
a thing: and that after the
rumor of uprising had spread
the Commander ordered the
