"that the Commandant had received from Sr. Vigue in which it [marks] him, that the ninth of last April, the declarant had [ridden?] around the [yard] of Sr. Hubert to speak to the mulatto of the said Sr., I say Julien & having seen the Sr. Dubois who was coming to him, was prevented from speaking to the said mulatto he replies.
