Asked about the statement of Jean Baptiste commander, he replied that it is true the [sic] of the negro of Mr [Sigu], but that it is false that when Jean Baptiste said that the declarant had talked to him about the letter to the commandant and that he more than he had talked about the subject of the request, and that Jean Baptiste had been [to find] the commandant, declaring to enter into the conspiracy, that the negros designated in the said declaration had been in the conspiracy that he did not know if"
