voulu consentir, & qu’il en avoit appellé
un autre nommé Louis qui n’a point
voulu aller à lui étant occupé à

J. Jarreau, F. Allain, and S. Croiset, witnesses, we asked Mr. Pierre Goudeau Jr., resident of this post, to appear before us. He took an oath to tell what he heard from his negros regarding the plot by the slaves of this district against their masters. He said that:
The negros named Antoine, Lucas, and Hector came to warn him on their way to work in the afternoon that the negro J. Mina, slave of Mr. Poédras, had come at noon to urge them to join him in order to kill the men on patrol, to which he didn’t want to agree. He appealed to another named Louis, who didn’t want to go either because he was busy getting his [ur]
