At Pointe Coupée post, on May [date unreadable - might be 4 or 11], 1795, in our presence, Guillaume Duparc, Lieutenant of the Army and Civil and Military Commandant of this post, together with Don Joseph Vasquez Vahamonde, Captain of the Infantry of the Louisiana Regiment, Commandant of the Baton Rouge fort and district, in accordance with the official letter (of his Lordship) dated April 14 [ur] that passed by me, Guillaume Duparc to the Governor General, notifying him of the plot planned by the negro slaves of this district against their masters, and official letter and order dated April 20, [ur] from his Lordship Don François Baron of Carondelet, Knight of the order of St. John, Sergeant of the Armies, Sergeant of the Governors General, Royal Vice Patron of the Province of Louisiana and West Florida, Inspector of troops and militia of said provinces and"
