comparraître le nommé Jn Sorga cités par Jeanne, Louison, négresses & Philipe négre a Veuve Lacour, et après lui avons fait faire son serment par Dieu & la Ste Croix de dire la vérité au sujet des cites il a dit que
Ils ne se sont point arrêté n'y n'ont entré dans aucun lieu désigné dans les dites cites & que par conséquant aucun deux n'a parlé n'y a négres n'y négresses Intérogé
s'il sait ou Marcos Lich a eu les feu trouvé sa piroque il dit qu'il ignore
N'ayant plus rien à dire et avoir entendu lire sa déclaration il dit être la pure vérité qu'il est agé de cinquante"

"Declaration of Jean Sorgo
appear the man called Jean Sorga named by Jeanne, Louison negresses and Philipe negro to Widow Lacour, and after having made him make his oath to God and the Holy Cross to tell the truth about the statements he said that
They did not stop nor enter into any place designated in the aforementioned statements, and that therefore neither of them spoke with any negros or negresses. Asked
if he knows where Marcos Lich got the [firearms] found in his cane, he says that he does not know.
Having nothing more to say and having heard his declaration read he says it to be the pure truth that he is fifty years old"
