Consécutivement avons fait comparraître le nommé Jean Aubert, cité par Jeanne, Louison négresses, & Philipe (manchot) négre à Veuve Lacour et après lui avoir fait faire son serment par Dieu et la Ste Croix de dire la vérité au sujet des dites il a dit que
Ils ne se sont point arrêté n'y entré dans aucun lieu désigné dans les dites cites, et que par conséquante aucun n'a parlé n'y a négres n'y a négresses, il répond.
Intérogé s'il sait ou Marcos"

Next we have made appear the man called Jean Aubert, named by Jeanne, Louison negresses, and Philip [penguin?] negro to Widow Lacour and after having made him make his oath to God and the Holy Cross to tell the truth about the statements he said that
They did not stop nor enter in any place designed in the said statements, and that therefore no one spoke to any negros nor negresses, he replies.
