Consécutivement avons fait comparaître la [Demoiselle] Adelaide [Fastis] citée par Petit Pierre esclave au Sr. Charles Duffour, et après avons fait faire son serment par Dieu et la Ste. Croix de dire la vérité sur la dite cite, et sur ce qu'elle sait au sujet du complot elle a dit que
La cite est vraie et que le blanc dont elle a entendu parler, était le Sr Bouyaval, [mais] qu'elle ne l'avait [su] que par le bruit général, et que ce bruit avait [courru] la veille de son [départ]
N'ayant plus rien à dire et entendu lire sa déclaration, qu'elle a reconnu être la [sienne] qu'elle est agée de [quinze] ans et ne sachant signer l'avons fait avec l'assesseur et les témoins d'assistance de tout quoi donnons foi, signé Duparc Vahamonde G Serrano J B Beauvais J Jarreau P Hubert"

Next we have made appear the young lady Adelaide [Fastis] mentioned by Petit Pierre slave of Sr. Charles Duffour, and after having made her make her oath to God and the Holy Cross to tell the truth about the aforementioned, and about that which she knows on the subject of the conspiracy she has said that:
The statement is true and that the white man she had heard speaking, had been Sr. Bouyaval, but that she did not know that [in the general noise], and and this noise had [increased] the evening before he left.
Having nothing more to say and having heard her statement read, that she has acknowledged it to be hers that she is around fifteen years old and not knowing how to sign we have done it with the assessor and the attending witnesses to all which we give authority.
