Consécutivement avons fait comparraître la nommée Jeanne négresse l'esclave a la Veuve Lacour cite par le nommé Guillaume [negro l'esclave (au S) à la J J P LeDoux] et apres avoir fait le serment par Dieu & la Ste Croix de dire la vérité sur la dite cite et autres choses sur ce qu'on lui demandera, elle a dit que
Il était rien qu'elle avait parlé de la liberté à Guillaume et qu'elle le tenait d'un blanc qui venait cela de la ville Capitale dans une pirogue, avec quatre blancs, et que celui qui [gouverment] qui était grand d'environ cinq pieds et"

Next we made appear the woman called Jeanne negresse slave of the Widow Lacour mentioned by the man called Guillaume negro slave of [S to J J P LeDoux] and after having made the oath to God and the Holy Cross to say the truth of the said quote and other things which we may ask her, she said that
There was nothing that she had said about freedom to Guillaume and that she held that [it was from] a white person who came from the Capital city in a canoe, with four whites, and that that one who [was in charge] was tall around five feet and"
