A nearby, but distinct settlement from that of Pointe Coupée. Francois Allain, in his declaration of January 19, 1793 (Doc ID# 401), implies that they are two different locales, for instance. Allain mentions being on patrol with Valentin Leblanc "with the goal of hampering the Communication of the Blacks of the Post with those of Falsa River" (fol. 474r).
