Intérogé que malgré les cites que [vient] d'entendre lire il n'a pas entendu parler d'aucun complot, il répond que non qu'il a seulement entendu dire, il a environ deux mois aux négres de son attelier, que des voyageurs qui [montait] leur avait dit que si les françois [gagnaient], ils seraient bientôt tous libres.
Ayant entendu lire sa déclaration il a dit que c'etait la pure vérité qu'il est agé d'environ cinquante quatre ans, et ne sachant signer"

Having heard his declaration read, he said that it was the pure truth, that he is around fifty-four years old, and not knowing how to sign"
