Asked why he the declarant [was given to] and has attempted the revolution for killing the whites for which we have charged him, knowing that he deserves to be hung, he said that he knew his crime and the punishment, and that he had entered into the conspiracy because of fear, having nothing more to say and not knowing how to sign we have done it with the assessor and the attending witnesses of all whom we give authority.
