that it is true that he had been responsible for asking Coffi his [sic], if it was true that all the negros would be free, but that if this was false that he would attack the whites in any case, this was not [true], because the declarant should in case the French took the country to battle against them to defend the whites until the death, to which Ami [countered?], that this is true that he had been talking to him a few times, but that he was in agreement ever since to attack like the others on the whites, and they did not agree on this point, having nothing more to say, and not knowing"
