Coffy (also known as "Antonio Cofi Mina"), a freed Black man known to some of the Pointe Coupée enslaved, was tried separately by the Province of Louisiana for his alleged role in the 1795 conspiracy at Pointe Coupée; he was ultimately convicted and expelled from the colony.
